Program

This once-in-a-life-time experience will take you to the Italian food valley, where the most famous and delicious Italian foods are made. You will also discover the city of Parma with its rich history and art.

Your day will start with the visit to a Parmesan cheese producer to discover behind the scenes how the king of the Italian cheeses is made. You will have the opportunity to follow all the production phases from the cooking of the milk, the lift of the wheels, the salting, till the aging room.

The visit will conclude with a delicious tasting of Parmesan cheese of different ages.

You will then visit Parma, a vital town rich in history, art and culture. You will visit the pink marble Baptistery by Antelami, see Correggio’s illusionistic frescoes decorating the Cathedral.

You will discover the National Gallery, located in the Pilotta palace and displaying paintings by Canova, Tiepolo and Leonardo da Vinci other than Parmigianino and Correggio, and the Farnese Theatre, one of the largest Baroque theatres in Europe.

You will relax at a local trattoria during a typical Italian lunch based on fresh homemade pasta and local food products, accompanied by local wines.

In the afternoon, you will discover all the secrets behind the production of the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena during the visit of a private estate. Enjoy a tasting of various aged vinegars for an immersive and evocative experience in the wonderful world of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.
